Developing a Reconciliation Action Plan

What is a Reconciliation Action Plan?
A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a commitment to reconciliation and to provide an inclusive and culturally safe workplace. The action plan goes further than this as it states ways in which an organisation will work towards these commitments. The action plan is essentially a tangible framework to increase equity and cultural safety for First Nations peoples in the workplace.
A RAP is broken into four maturity levels that reflect where the organisation is in their reconciliation journey. These build on each other and form the basis for the actions to be taken.

This artwork tells the story of women gathering at waterholes. As it can be extremely warm in the desert and only rains every so often, after the rain the women will gather to the sacred waterholes.
