Portal Test Results
Welcome to the GoRev Distribution of Patient Test Results via the Portal tutorial. This guide will detail the patient test result distribution process as well as the common configurations you can change as a client. In order to utilize this system you will need to contact ask@gorev.com or submit a ticket to implement this system on your server.
Once implemented, this system will automatically notify patients when their test results are ready to be viewed via email or text. The notifications go out immediately after a file has been uploaded into the patient overview window with a file category configured in GoRev. If a patient has not registered for the portal, a portal registration text or email is sent as well.
1: Configuring File Categories and Uploading Results
As a GoRev Client, you will have the ability to configure which file categories are set to automatically send to the Patient Portal and notify the patient. To begin, please navigate to the Admin tab, click on the "Configuration" button, and finally "Lookup Tables".
Next click on "FileCategoriesAutoSendToPortal" from the Select List drop down menu.
To create a new entry click on the the "New Item" button.
Enter the desired "Value", "Permission", and "Description" of the new file category into their respective fields.
Once you are satisfied with your new File Category, click the "Save" button. In the instance that the file category is a new file category, you will need to configure the file category in the lookup list titled FileCategories prior to this process.
Note: If you are unsure if this file category has been entered into the system, please check the "FileCategories" list in the lookup editor or attempt to select this file category when uploading patient files in the Patient Overview window.
2: Uploading Results into the Patient Overview
Uploading test results that automatically upload into the patients portal is as easy as uploading a regular file into the Patient Overview window. To begin, click on the "Upload Files" button.
First, select the file(s) you want to upload, then click on the "Open" button.
Next, click the check box next to each file that you would like to upload.
You will then need to click on the "Set Category" button, then select the file category that you previously created.
Finally, click on the "Confirm Upload" button.
Note: Patients must have at least one phone number specified as their mobile device and have at least the Registration and Clinical communication preferences checked on in order for the patient to receive text or email messages from the system.
