How do I install memoQ?
Important: To install memoQ, you need to log on to your computer as an administrator, or you need to run the setup package as an administrator. Otherwise, Windows will ask for an administrator’s password when you attempt to install memoQ.
The browser will save the downloaded setup file in your Downloads folder. To launch the file, click the button at the bottom of the browser window OR open your Downloads folder and find the file.
If you are the administrator, you can double click the file. Otherwise, right click the file in the downloads folder and select "Run as Administrator".
Note: Do not delete the file or the folder until memoQ is fully installed. Afterwards, it is recommended to save a copy of this file on your computer if you want to install the same version of memoQ again.
Launch the file. If you are not signed in to your computer as an administrator, Windows will ask you for a user name and a password.
Next, select a language for the system, by clicking the drop down and selecting the preferred language.
Click OK.
The memoQ setup wizard window will appear. Click Next to proceed with the installation.
In order to continue the installation, you must select "I accept the agreement".
Please note that you will not need a license to run memoq. Technitrad will provide the license and login.
Next, memoq will ask for the location to save the memoq program files. It will propose a location (see example window below). If you would like to change where it is located, click on the Browse... button and select the location.
Once the correct location appears in the field, click Next.
The next setup window, offers additional options based on your preferences:
Select, or unselect, the options you choose.
Click Next to proceed.
The wizard will then proceed with the installation. When it is finished the following window will appear:
Click Finish to close the Setup wizard.
Click on the memoq icon on your desktop, or go to the location where the program was saved in order to open the program.
