Copying Parent/Guardian Email Addresses in PowerTeacher Pro

  1. Login to the PowerTeacher Dashboard: https://ecssd.powerschool.com/teachers.
  2. Click on the PowerTeacher Pro left menu link.
  3. Select the applicable class from the dropdown menu for the group of parent emails you want to copy.

  4. Click on Settings from the left-side menu. Then click Contact List.

  5. The contact list will display the following items:

    *NOTE: the only guardians that will display are those that have the CUSTODY flag set in PowerSchool.
  6. At the bottom of the page, there is summary of all guardian email addresses for that class which can be copied and pasted into your email client.
  7. In order for this to work, you'll need to adjust the settings within the Microsoft Outlook email client to allow commas to be used to separate email addresses:
    • In the Desktop APP: Go to File > Options > Mail, select the Commas can be used to separate multiple message recipients checkbox, then select OK.
    • In the Web App (Outlook 365): just paste the email addresses into the BCC field. The Web App will read commas properly.

*IMPORTANT:
The following two tips are extremely important to follow:

  1. Guardian email addresses MUST pasted into the BCC field of your email so that you don't share email address information with other parents.
  2. Only send out emails for one (1) class at a time. The system will only allow approximately 60 emails to be delivered at one time without flagging alerts and/or blocking delivery. If you are emailing guardians for multiple class groups consecutively (limit of 60 addresses per email), be sure to space out your emails by a few minutes so the system has time to process.
