First Year (FY) Telescope Sign-Up

The First Year Telescope is an optional series that gives us an opportunity to get to know each other through the things that are brewing in scholarship, creative practice or in the classroom. You can join as a presenter or as an audience member.

Format for the events

The goal of The Telescope is to get an overview of what many faculty are doing, so we use the rapid fire Pecha Kucha presentation as the model. You can share 20 slides each of which last 20 seconds. The result is a 6 minute and 40 second self-timed presentation!

What kind of work to share

We are excited to learn about the range of things our colleagues are doing, and this can include your research, studio projects, writing, exhibitions, a fantastic experiment in the classroom, you name it!
