Making Center Advisory Committee (MCAC)
NOTE: This card is under construction.
Purpose
In keeping with the mission of Parsons, Making Center Advisory Committee (MCAC) fosters collaboration of resources across schools, builds consensus around tool, machine, and resource use, and facilitates effective information sharing/dispersal across schools. The MCAC is a freestanding governance body, which serves as an advisory body to the Parsons Executive Dean and Dean’s Council.
It is made up of an equal number of representatives from each of Parson's five schools, a member from IT, and members from the Making Center leadership and staff. At times it has also included a member from Campus Security, the Healthier Materials Lab/Library, and other campus facilities as relevant to the annual priorities.
In recent years it has added Sub-committees working towards specific cross-school goals, including local maps of reuse resources, a rehaul of the Making Center website, and revisions to the Health and Safety Facilities Orientations.
