How to launch a Simulation in Echo

Explainers

We're firm believers in backtesting if possible at Mahi to avoid risk capital if it's not necessary. Learn more about some of the benefits of simulations here

This guide covers launching a variety of simulations from Echo.

Firstly, log in to Echo as usual and navigate to the Top of Book screen. On the top right of your screen you will see a tab called Simulations:

Click on the tab to view the different simulations available. Select which simulation you'd like to start by using the tabs at the top. Some of the fields (instrument, to, from) are preloaded for you based on the ToB values.

It's recommended that you include your email in the email field. This will automatically send you an email with the result of the sim, and a link to access it in Echo.

Simulations typically take between 5 minutes and several hours to run depending on the length of time (the amount of data) the sim is being run for.

Once you have filled in all required parameters, press submit to submit your simulation to the Mahi system. Once your simulation has finished, you will be able to find it in the simulations results area:
