New Charges

In this tutorial, we will focus on the process of creating New Charges as an Administrator in GoRev.

1 : Navigating to the Charge Master Window

In order to Create a New Charge as an Administrator in GoRev, first, begin by clicking on the “Charge Master” button located in the Billing Data section of the Admin Toolbar.

2 : Navigating to the New Charge Window

Once the Charge Master window becomes visible, please click on the “New Charge” button on your screen.

3 : Entering the Charge Number

At this point, the New Charge window will appear on your device. To continue, please enter the Charge Number that you require into the corresponding field provided.

4 : Entering the CPT Code

Next, if applicable, please enter the appropriate CPT Code into the space provided.

5 : Entering a Modifier

Now, if you would like to further specify your CPT Code, please enter the appropriate Modifier into the corresponding field in this window.

6 : Entering the Revenue Code

After entering this information, please use the “Rev. Cd.” field in this window to enter the Revenue Code that you require.

7 : Setting the Charge's Default Quantity and Unit of Measure

Next, please set the Charge’s Default Quantity and its corresponding Units of Measure by utilizing the “Default Quantity” field and the ”Unit of Measure” drop-down menu present on your device.

8 : Verifying the Charge Type

Now, please verify that the Charge Type field is set to Regular.

If the Charge Type field is blank or set to another option, please use the corresponding drop-down menu on your screen to set the Charge Type to Regular.

9 : Entering the FDA Service Code

Next, if applicable, please enter the FDA Service Code into the field provided.

10 : Setting the Price Per Unit

After entering this information, please specify a Price Per Unit for this Charge by entering the appropriate monetary value into the “Price” field present on your device.

11 : Defining the Effective Date

Next, please enter the Effective Date for this Price into the corresponding field provided.

12 : Enabling a Self-Pay Rate

Now, in the event that you need to enable a Self-Pay Rate for this Charge, please begin by clicking on the “Enable Self Pay Rate” button on your screen.

At this point, an Enable Self-Pay Rate Warning will appear on your device. If you wish to continue, click “Yes” to finish enabling a Self-Pay Rate for this Charge.

13 : Entering the National Drug Code

Next, if applicable, please enter the appropriate National Drug Code into the corresponding field provided.

14 : Enabling "Ask for Quantity on Scan" Feature

Now, please click on the “Ask for Quantity on Scan” checkbox on your screen if you would like users to be prompted to enter the Quantity Used when an attempt is made to Add the Charge to a Patient’s Account.

15 : Defining the Charge as Active

Additionally, if the Charge you are creating is Active, please click on the “Active” checkbox present on your device.

16 : Setting a "Disable After" Date

Next, if applicable, please set a Date for this Charge to be Disabled using the “Disable After” drop-down menu on your screen.

17 : Defining the Charge as "Not Billable"

Additionally, if the Charge you are creating is not a billable item, please click on the “Not Billable” checkbox in this window.

18 : Utilizing the "Do Not Mirror" Feature

Now, if applicable, please click on the “Do Not Mirror” checkbox present on your device.

19 : Setting a Flat Rate for the Charge

Next, in the event that you would like the Charge to have a Flat Rate, please click on the corresponding checkbox on your screen.

20 : Defining the Charge Description

Now, please enter a Description of this Charge into the corresponding field provided.

If you would like the entered Description to appear on itemized statements, please click on the “Use Description on Claim“ button on your device.

21 : Entering the Statement Description

Conversely, if you would like the Charge Description to differ from the description present in patient statements, please enter the Description that you require into the “Statement Description” field in this window.

22 : Saving the New Charge

Now, in order to finish the Charge Creation process, please click on the “Save Charge” button on your screen.

23 : Locating the Newly Created Charge

At this point, the Newly Created Charge will be present in the “All Charges” area of this window.

If you have difficulty locating the Charge, please search for the Charge using the Search field in this area.
