Full-Time Faculty Rank Review Applications
All requests for full-time faculty rank reviews must be discussed with your academic leadership before you submit this form. You should only complete this form if you are a full-time faculty member applying to be considered for a rank review (either stand-alone or in tandem with an RTA reappointment review) that will take place during the next academic year. This application covers all rank review requests, from Assistant to Associate Professor and Associate to Full Professor. All applications for a rank review will go through an initial assessment by an ad hoc faculty committee convened by your college's Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs, and forwarded to the Executive Dean. If supported by the Executive Dean, your application will be forwarded to the Provost's Office for consideration by the Provost. If approved by the Provost, the rank review will take place during the next academic year.
**All communication with faculty members about their requests will come through the Executive Dean's Office which will make the determination in coordination with the Provost's Office.**
CVs are required as part of this application. Please upload your current CV to the appropriate form below. The application will not be considered without the CV.
Rank review applications are by college and academic year. The deadline to apply for a rank review is typically early to mid November for the following academic year.
2027-2028 Applications for Rank Review Requests
Applications for stand-alone Rank Review requests are now available for the 2027-2028 Academic Year.
Prior to submitting a rank review request form, faculty members must consult with their executive dean's office, as the application process to be considered for a stand-alone rank review is initially managed there. In order to be considered for a rank review that will take place in the next academic year (2027-2028), applications must be submitted by Friday, November 6, 2026.
