Rehiring an employee

Objectives:

Rehire an employee who previously worked for the company and let them go through the onboarding process again.

An overview of how to rehire an employee who has been terminated.

💡Good to know: AllPay looks for employee records—including SSN—to allow you to rehire and re-onboard an employee. If an rehire or an AllPay user provides a different SSN for an employee, it will create a new employee record.

Rehire an employee

Before you can rehire an employee, the employment record should have a Status of "Terminated" and the Rehire Eligibility should be "Eligible for Rehire." You can check this on the employee's record under the Employees menu by looking at the Employment tab and choosing the employee.

  1. Sign into AllPay. Under the Onboard menu, in the Onboarding column, choose Onboard Existing Employees.

  2. Choose which onboarding portal you want them to go through by choosing from the Portal Name drop-down, then use the Employee Filter to find employees, and click on Continue.
    AllianceHCM tip: Leave the Employee Filter blank to see all employees.

  3. Select the employee(s) you wish to include in the rehire process. You can select multiple employees if your to include them (you can select multiple employees if you have a long list)
    AllianceHCM tip: You can use Ctrl + F to search by name and find an employee in a long list. This might save you some scrolling time.

  4. Click on Create Onboarding Logins once all of the employees have been selected.

  5. You'll see confirmation once their the onboarding has been initiated.

  6. You can see the rehired employee on the Portal Users tab. The portal users can be filtered to show all users, onboarders, or reboarders, and you can click on the employee to see their User Details.

Select from Portal Name drop-down, select Employee Filter if desired, and click Continue.

Click on Create Onboarding Logins
