Carrier Pickup: USPS SCAN form
SCAN = Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice
At the time of Carrier Pickup for USPS, the SCAN form is generated by Endicia and a print dialogue will display, and the store can print OK to print the form.
The short story
All USPS packages with a tracking number (accountable mail) will be included in the single scan of the barcode on the PS5630 form (the SCAN form).
Note: First Class Mail letters and Flats are not included on the SCAN form unless they include certified.
The driver scans the barcode on the SCAN form.
Those packages show as picked up and in the mail stream.
Typically, only packages shipped that day will be included on the SCAN form. If a store has an issue with packages shipped the day before (after their carrier pickup), the store needs to contact Endicia to ask to be placed on a manual SCAN form, instead of automatic.
A store can re-print the last generated SCAN form under Tools > Re-Print > Previous USPS Scan Form.
