Snapchat Report Setup Guidance for Ingestion in LAMP
Walled Garden data can be ingested directly into LAMP in order to provide attention predictions for your digital activity that cannot be measured by LAMP tags. This allows granular reporting in LAMP on where the attention is, to inform your media planning with attention in mind.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BEGIN
- You will need to have set up a measurement. a full guide on how to create a measurement can be found here.
- LAMP requires certain dimensions and metrics in order to make an accurate attention prediction, but also allows the ingestion of optional datapoints for a more granular reporting experience in LAMP, please see below a list of dimensions and metrics which are required (or optional) for an accurate attention prediction

REPORT SETUP STEP-BY-STEP
STEP 1 - CREATE A DATA IMPORT
In your measurement, you need to ensure that you have a data import job created in LAMP to ingest your data into.
In the left navigation menu head to Data Imports
Click New
Choose Snapchat > Snapchat
Click Submit
You will not have created a dedicated import job email address to which your ingestions should be sent, this is addressed in the final step of this guide
STEP 2 - CREATE A NEW REPORT
Log into your Snapchat Ads Manager dashboard and click the Create Ads drop down menu at the top left of the page
From the menu that appears, click Reports under the Analyse section
At the top right hand side of the next page, click the New Report drop down at the top right of the page, and choose Campaign Performance
STEP 3 - ALLOWING LAMP TO RECEIVE SCHEDULED REPORTS
In order for LAMP to be configured as a schedule report recipient in the following steps, you must first add LAMP as a Data Analyst member of the Ad Account. This provides LAMP with read-only access to the data.
Click the drop down menu at the top left of the page and go to Members
Click Invite Members at the top right hand side of the next page
Here you must input the dedicated LAMP data import job email address that you created in step one of this guide, and assign the role Data Admin
Click Invite Members
Assign Assets that LAMP can be a member of - this will be the Ad Account where the campaigns to be reported on are running. Then assign as a Data Analyst
It is not necessary for LAMP to accept any invitation here, nor will LAMP ever access the account. By inviting the LAMP import email address here, it will allow you to set it up as a recipient for scheduled reports.
STEP 4 - ADDING REPORTING CRITERIA
Please refer to the yellow box at the top of the page for the full list of dimensions and metrics that LAMP requires from a Snapchat report and begin adding them to the dimensions and metrics inputs.
Report Settings
Report name: Give your report a name
Report language: English (UK), or English (US)
File type: CSV
Schedule: Enabled via the toggle
- Repeat Every <- choose your desired report sending frequency
- Starts and ends <- the timeframe in which your report sending schedule will be active
- Email Report To <- enter the dedicated LAMP data import email address that you invited in the previous step
Report Filters
Date Range: The date range that your report data will encompass
Campaigns & Ad Accounts: Choose the campaigns or Ad Accounts that you'd like to share reporting for
Report Dimensions
Please ensure that all of the dimensions listed in the table in the yellow box at the start of this guide are inputted in the Report Dimensions field in the reporting interface
Report Metrics
Please ensure that all of the metrics listed in the table in the yellow box at the start of this guide are inputted in the Report Metrics field in the reporting interface
Once the above steps have been carried out, you can click Save at the bottom right of the page.
If the scheduled sends do not reach your LAMP account, you will need to manually ingest the files instead. Click Save & Export which will download your report and move to the next step.
