Inbound Fax Management
Inbound Fax Management can be accessed in either Billing Modules Fax Inbox or within Clinic Modules Clinical Fax Inbox. Common inbound billing faxes are correspondence received from insurance carriers. Common inbound clinical faxes are physician orders, admit requests, and other healthcare to healthcare entity transmissions.
Click the Fax Settings button and enter your WestFax username and password. Click the Login Button. You will then see the Fax Inbox Number drop down is accessible. Select the phone number you want assigned to this specific inbox.
As faxes are received they will show up in the Inbound Fax Management UI.
Click Send to Posting Workflow and the fax will have a copy routed into the Posting Workflow. It will be placed into Ready For Posting. Specify a Description and amount (optional).
Same functionality exists to route a fax to the Data Entry Workflow system within GoRev.
Clicking the Edit Category button will open a lookup list editor. This will allow you to set automatic categorization of inbound faxes based on phone number. This can be very useful for you to set specific phone numbers you are receiving faxes from up as a Client Name, a type of fax (orders, scheduling requests, etc).
Setting this up will then cause all inbound faxes from configured numbers to populate the category you specified here:
Click the Edit Fax Routes and you will be shown a list of phone numbers you have received faxes from. You can then right click on each and specify one of 4 options:
Fax Management = The fax will show in Billing and Clinical inbound fax UI's
Data Entry = The fax will be automatically routed to Data Entry Workflow
Posting Workflow = The fax will be automatically routed to Posting Workflow
Blocked = Faxes from this number will be blocked and will not be shown in any UI
Clicking View PDF will present the below window.
