How to Add Metadata Properties in the OPC UA Collector
Engineering units, high/low scales, high/low limits, dead-bands , and data-transformations are the changeable metadata properties of a tag.
Adding Metadata properties to tags is helpful when searching for tags and viewing data in Axiom.
Add Metadata Properties in the OPC UA Collector

Tag Searching
Searching inn Axiom or Virtual Views can be done via metadata properties. A description or other metadata property added to a tag can distinguish it from other similarly named tags, making it much easier to find the tag.
Data Visualization
Engineering units, high/low scales, and high/low limits affect how data is displayed in Axiom. When data is viewed in Axiom, the scale may not reflect the high/low scales recorded in the metadata properties. Axiom overrides the stored scale with a scale range written by the lowest/highest values. Axiom does give the option to change the scale range through a manual input.
Metadata properties also affect the data exported from the historian as these properties are stored with the data.
