Template: Product Release - Definitions
When releasing feature enhancements and changes in Guru, they can be released in a few different ways. The below definitions will be used in #release-notes to further describe a features status.
Live in Stage
Definition: Only internal team members who are signed into Guru through the Stage Web App or the Stage Extension will see the changes
🐣Ready for Early Access
Definition: Available for Early Access (EA) behind feature flag. Only teams that are working with CX and Product to engage in an Early Access Program will gain access to this feature. It will be behind a feature flag, so the Guru team must enable it for the chosen customers.
🚩Ready for Customers
Definition: This feature is going out to Guru's Production environment behind a feature flag. Guru's engineering team will need to take an additional step of enabling the feature in order for any users to see it.
💸Live for Specific Editions
Definition: All teams on specified editions will see this new feature - includes onboarding through Pendo (where applicable) and help documentation on our Help Center.
🌎Live for All Customers
Definition: All teams will see this new feature - includes onboarding through Pendo (where applicable) and help documentation on our Help Center.
📰Marketing Launched
Definition: Marketing is promoting the feature to the broader market via blog posts, PR announcements, social media, etc. This is occurring after the feature has been enabled for customers.
