Email Notifications When A Document Is Uploaded

You, and your customers, can now receive email notifications whenever a document is uploaded to Logixboard!

How will this improve things?

  1. Your operators, and your customers, can now be immediately notified when a document is uploaded to Logixboard, streamlining communication and expediting your overall workflow.

  2. Getting documents can be an urgent, time-sensitive matter. This change will help ensure everyone in the process is hitting deadlines and moving the shipment as fast as possible.

  3. This can reduce the workload on your operators because they will no longer need to manually check if they’ve received a document - they will get notified and know that yes, we got the document!

When the document is uploaded, where does it go?

The document will be visible in, and downloadable from, Logixboard. It will also be added to that shipment’s CargoWise eDocs file.

How can I subscribe to email notifications?

Great question. It’s easy!

  1. Click on the Settings button in the upper right corner.

  2. From the left side bar, click on 🔔 Notifications

  3. In the Global Notifications window, tick the box next to Uploaded Documents.

  4. Once done, you are subscribed to receive emails for all documents uploaded!

Can I subscribe to just one shipment?

Sure thing. Go to the shipment details page of the shipment you want to subscribe to, then click on the 🔔 bell in the upper right corner.

What will the email notification look like?

Like this! Then the customer will be able to click the blue hyperlink to get to the document in Logixboard.

Will the email be white-labeled?

Yes, the above image is a test mock. The email will have your brand’s colors, logo, address, and name.

How long after the document is uploaded will I get notified by email?

Near instant! As soon as it’s uploaded our system begins working to send you the notification email. Depending on internet speeds it could be a matter of minutes, but our goal is to notify you as fast as possible.

Will upload document notifications be enabled by default?

No, each user will need to subscribe to these notifications to validate that they do wish to subscribe.

Can I subscribe my customer to these notifications on their behalf?

No, each user will need to subscribe themselves to these notifications.

Will I get alerted when a document was uploaded to an Order?

If you have Orders Visibility activated and if that Order is attached to a Shipment, yes. You will not get an email notification if a document is attached to a standalone Order.

Will the Shipment # be included in the email?

Yes, it will be in the email subject line and in the body of the email.

Can I get notifications for just one customer, or select customers I want notifications for, then get notifications for ALL of just that/those customers shipments?

You’ll need to set up Logixboard to show just that customer’s shipments in your account to do this. Contact your CSM for more information about this and to set up your CargoWise Staff Profile.

Do you send email notifications if I upload a document to CargoWise?

No, only uploads via Logixboard will trigger the document uploaded email notification.
