Spanish Language Audio on English Language Stations

Updated Q1 2025

Streaming:

• Spanish language ads are now only allowed by targeting the Spanish Language Approved Tag

• This tag includes Spanish language stations and some stations that have a large Spanish audience (over 60%).
• You no longer need to add Audience Targeting.
• Current Flights can continue to run the old way (as laid out below under Using Audience Targeting for Spanish Language Ads section)
• There may be exceptions based on Management Approval

Podcasts:

• For Planning - Planning should first try and clear using the RON-Spanish_Language Tag. This consists of Spanish language shows.
• If the scale is not there, you should use the RON-Select Content Tag AND Audience Targeting - using the Spanish Speakers Audience Segment.

*Be sure to include the text 'SPENG' in the line item name, preferably at the end, for all lines that include Spanish-language audio. This allows us to search quickly for these lines.

Audience Targeting for Spanish Language Ads (Podcasts only)

If Spanish language targeting is combined with any other audience targeting then Ad Ops will need to manually edit the targeting in TAP. The default when pushing segments from Operative is 'OR' so you will need to adjust this targeting to Spanish Speaking 'AND' All Other Audience Targeting.

Double check targeting with DAM before moving forward with manual adjustments.
