Application Plan

Indexes document with data. The data can be:

a) pre-defined within the plan itself.
b) screen scraped from an open application/software

Batches

Captured documents can be separated into Batches and stored in the Batches section for quality assurance and pre-processing.

Capture Profile

A reusable collection of settings to pre-process documents during capture.

Custom Properties

Additional document meta data.

Each document type has their own custom properties.

Imagenow Printer

Allows users to capture and index an electronic document into Perceptive Content without having to print and scan as a hard copy first.

User must be logged into Perceptive to use.

Index Keys

Also known as Document Keys.

These are what make a document 'unique' in Perceptive. If all Index Keys match another pre-existing document's keys upon document capture/creation, the new document will be appended as new pages to the pre-existing document.

Adding attributes/data to digital documents for seamless retrieval.

iScripts

Proprietary scripting language of Perceptive that automates business logic.

Significantly reduce manual data entry and processing by integrating Perceptive with other systems, automatically routing content in workflow, sending out notifications, and taking various actions on documents.

Can be configured to be workflow-triggered or server-side.

Prefixes

All content in Perceptive is given a prefix to represent the department that created/owns it.

ADM - Admission
ADV - Advising
DEV - Development
GEN - General (Administrator Owned)
REG - Registrar
STU - Student Files (used when the configuration returns documents from both Student Files and Admission)
SEC - Office of the Secretary

Queues

Electronic baskets where documents are held for processing and then routed forward to the next step in the process until completed.

Student Public Document

Registrar-owned document stored on a student's file that can be accessed by anyone that has completed FERPA training.
