MetaQuotes Historic Counterparty Overview

Counterparty PnL Screen

The Counterparty PnL screen in MFXEcho houses MT4 reports and a full breakdown of a counterparties trading activity, behaviours and patterns.

For an MT4 account, Historic Balance Reports will be loaded for the entire of the users trading history (if we have MT4 permissions to read a users registration date) otherwise (for efficiency) the Bridge will load a fixed period,

Non-MT4 flow will not have the in-depth lifetime report but behavioural statistics will still be visible.

The chart can be viewed by order quantity by hour to see which trading timezones and hours during the day the counterparty was most actively trading.

Viewing by PnL/hour shows at what periods the counterparty is most costly/profitable, Spread/hour also allows you to see if there is specific period the counterparty is most able to achieve low/negative spreads which may indicate they are targeting specific trading strategies such as scalping or latency arb.

Understanding a toxic counterparties trading patterns means you are able to tailor a management solution such as hedging or execution rules to manage or eliminate losses.

It can also help to identify vulnerabilities in pricing (latency/too tight spreads) if counterparties are consistently costing Spread at specific times.
