Dear Colleagues:

As this year’s flu season approaches, we want to share important information about where you can get the free flu shot to help keep you, your families, and our colleagues healthy and well.

We ask faculty and staff to cooperate in taking steps to reduce the transmission of the flu and other communicable illnesses. Employees are reminded of the following:

  • Stay home when you are sick.

  • Wash your hands frequently or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

  • Cover your mouth with tissues whenever you sneeze, and discard used tissues in the trash.

  • Avoid people who are sick with respiratory symptoms.

  • Get vaccinated against the seasonal flu and COVID-19, when eligible.

For those enrolled in another health plan:
All insurance plans are required to cover the flu vaccine, and we encourage those who are not participants in the university’s plan to check with your health insurer for locations where you can get a free flu vaccine.
