We want to provide you with the tools you need to work most effectively out of your home office. In addition to your choice of Macbook Pro (13” or 16”) we will order you a monitor, cords, or additional supplies you may need!
We'll also provide you with $1000 to up-fit your workspace how you see fit. Want a standup desk? You got it. Had your eye on that fancy ergonomic chair for a while? Boom - how comfy is that? This stipend is available every three years after your first 3 months of employment and will be processed and managed via RAMP.
We encourage you to find a working environment that suits your needs the best, if working from home every single day isn’t for you. Follow Up Boss will reimburse you up to $200/month for you to use towards renting co-working space in your city. To take advantage of this benefit, please let Sam know what co-working space you are planning to work out of and submit your receipt monthly through RAMP for reimbursement.
See a conference you think FUB should attend? Pitch it to us. We cover all of the costs of attending for all team members.
If you are flying, please go ahead and book your own flights using TravelPerk. When paying for your flight please use the "RAMP TRAVEL PERK" card that is listed in the system. Just a reminder, we don't have an expense policy as we trust everyone to spend money wisely. If you’re booking a flight, you don’t need to buy the cheapest, buy the convenient, well-priced seat.
Any and all travel reimbursements should be submitted via RAMP.
Once per year, the whole team gathers together for a weeklong giant workcation! All expenses are included. This happens in the early fall (November) -- more details will come as we get closer to retreat dates.
Follow Up Boss offers 4 weeks of paid vacation, 10 days of sick leave, and the standard US national holidays every year (for employees outside the US, we'll try to find equivalent holidays in your country - if you're unsure about a holiday, just ask!). We try to keep the BOSS calendar up to date with the holiday PTO days. Your PTO starts accruing the day you start.
Just request the time off inside Justworks and put it on the company-wide BOSS calendar. There are detailed instructions here.
For extended absences, please give your team and team leader a heads up. A quick note - if you have a doctor's appointment or something where you'll only be out a few hours, there's no need to request PTO - just let your team know and put it on your calendar. We operate largely on employee trust, so use your best judgement.
Medical Insurance (US only) We provide medical insurance in the US via Aetna. We offer 8 different plan options, giving you the freedom to choose what plan makes sense for you. The company pays 100% of the premium for the employee and their family. Open enrollment is in September/October every year, with new coverage beginning November 1. Marriages and domestic partnerships are covered equally. Medical coverage starts on the first of the month, following your hire date. Follow Up Boss offers a 401K for US-based employees through Slavic401K.
We match dollar-for-dollar up to 6% of your salary that you contribute to the plan. For instance, an employee who earns $100,000 can contribute any amount towards the 401K, however, FUB will only match the first 6% or $6,000/year of those contributions. Employees are eligible to enroll in the 401K after 3 months of employment. More information on the plan can be found here.
For international contractors, FUB will also match 6% of your salary. In this case, FUB will pay the contractor directly via invoice. It's up to the contractor to invest the money properly and maintain administration of the retirement account and its taxes.
Congratulations, new parents! To help you celebrate the welcome of your new family addition (and get some much needed family time and rest), we offer both primary and non-primary caregivers paid family leave as follows: When you welcome a new child (birthed, adopted, or fostered), Follow Up Boss encourages you to take up to 12 weeks leave for primary caregivers and up to 6 weeks leave as a secondary caregiver at 100% paid salary. You may also choose to take an additional 8 weeks leave unpaid.

Follow Up Boss will pay up to $100/month for your fitness activities - whether it’s the occasional yoga class, an Ironman race registration or the full-on Crossfit membership, feel free to use your stipend to cover the cost. This amount resets each month, so you’re not able to "save up" your stipend - the idea is to promote regular activity. For US employees, this perk is provided through the RAMP platform. Working from home can sometimes feel isolating - we totally get it - so we want to encourage you to get out there and connect with people in person. We offer a monthly stipend of $50 to spend on the coffee shop(s) of your choice. Spend the morning working from your local spot or go through the drive-through at Starbucks - the choice is yours. For US employees, this perk is provided through the RAMP platform. For international contractors, FUB will pay the contractor directly via invoice.
Every year on your birthday, we encourage you to take the day off - free and clear, no need to use PTO. Plan to do something fun! If your birthday falls on the weekend or holiday, feel free to take the prior Friday or following Monday off as well (just make sure you put it on the Boss calendar).
Here at Follow Up Boss, we want to help you grow both personally and professionally. We want to encourage you to take classes and attend conferences that you find interesting. So to facilitate that, we offer all employees a $1,000 annual stipend to do so. The topic, venue, and delivery are your choice - feel free to take an online course or learn to play the piano - it's completely up to you. For classes and conferences directly related to your job function, there’s no need to use PTO. If it’s just something that enriches you personally, all we ask is that you take it through the normal PTO process. This perk is available after 3 months of employment.
