Enter Holiday in MyDay
If you are a Non-Union Administrative Hourly, 1205 Professional Hourly, or SHENS-UAW Hourly employee and need to submit hours for holidays on which you were scheduled to work, you now have the option to select a Holiday time type via your timesheet. Please refer to Time Off Summary for an overview of paid holidays and breaks at the university.
Before you enter your time, please be sure to take note of your work schedule. Following are the instructions for viewing your work schedule in MyDay – if you already know your work schedule, please proceed to the next section on entering your time for the holiday.
Step 1: Click the Global Navigation Menu icon in the top left corner. | Step 2: Click the “Time” icon. |
Step 3: Click on the appropriate option in the Enter Time Column depending on if the holiday falls in the Current week, Last week, or you can click Select Week to manually enter the date. | Step 4: The next screen will be a weekly calendar. Click the time block on the day you want to enter time for. |
Step 5: A window will appear for you to enter time. Under Time Type, click the “Prompt” (3 lines) icon. | Step 6: Select “Time Entry Codes”. |
Step 7: Select “Holiday (Hourly)”. | Step 8: Type the amount of hours you worked in the Hours field and click OK. |
DONE! The time block will then appear on your spreadsheet and marked as ‘Holiday’. |
