Enter Holiday in MyDay

If you are a Non-Union Administrative Hourly or 1205 Professional Hourly employee and need to submit hours for holidays on which you werescheduled to work, you now have the option to select a Holiday time type via yourtimesheet. Please refer to Time Off Summary for an overview of paid holidays and breaks at the university.

Before you enter your time, please be sure to take note of yourwork schedule. Following are the instructions for viewing yourwork schedule in MyDay – if you already know your workschedule, please proceed to the next section on entering yourtime for the holiday.

Step 1: Click the Global Navigation Menu icon in the top left corner.

Step 2: Click the “Time” icon.

Step 3: Click on the appropriate option in the Enter Time Column depending on if the holiday falls in the Current week, Last week, or you can click Select Week to manually enter the date.

Step 4: The next screen will be a weekly calendar. Click the time block on the day you want to enter time for.

Step 5: A window will appear for you to enter time. Under Time Type, click the “Prompt” (3 lines) icon.blob

Step 6: Select “Time Off”.

Step 7: Select “Holiday (Hourly)”.blob

Step 8: Type the amount of hours you worked in the Hours field and click OK.blob

DONE! The time block will then appear on your spreadsheet and marked as ‘Holiday’.

NOTE: This time reporting method should only be selected if the holiday falls on a day you were normally scheduled to work. If you are not scheduled to work on a university holiday, you are not paid for that day.
