Hot Seat/Shared Office Program

The hot seat/shared office program offers a stipend for fixed term and full time faculty who participate.

Hot seat ($185 per pay period): No assigned working space on campus. Instead, you'll utilize general work spaces.

Shared office: Three or more ($115 per pay period): A dedicated space shared with your colleagues (three or more people depending on the room). Specific room assignments are given once space becomes available. If space is unavailable at the moment (likely given lack of space), then you'll be put on a waitlist and assigned the hot seat option.

Private office: One or two (no stipend): A dedicated private office just for you or one other colleague. Specific room assignments are given once space become available. If space is unavailable at the moment (highly likely given lack of space), then you'll be put on a waitlist and assigned the hot seat option.

Each year at the end of May, Parsons Ops sends individual emails to all Full Time Faculty detailing their current office selection. At that time only, faculty can request a change to their office assignment. Faculty who do not respond will be understood to continue with their current office arrangement for the coming year.

NOTE: Stipends associated with the program may be terminated at the University’s discretion. The University reserves the right to alter or cancel the program at any time.
