How to: Many-To-Many Object Relationships

The term Relationships & Associations are used interchangeably throughout the documentation. The term used is preference alone and has no hierarchy over the other.

Object Relations / Associations

There are two main methods for populating Many-To-Many object relations. Either method will give the same result and can be used interchangeably. Below both options are described, these instructions are the same for any Many-To-Many Object Relation.

Drag & Drop Method:

For these instructions we are using Blocked which is mapped to the "Blocked In Channel Advisor" folder. To add a value you will click and hold and drag True to the box labeled Blocked, when you release the mouse button the value will now be associated. If you try to place the value in another box the system will prevent you from doing so and no change will be made.

Search values Method:

You can also use the search function to find values to populate the section. To do so click on the magnifying glass (see image below with red box) of the component you wish to populate.

Once you click on the magnifying glass the available values will be displayed in the Search Objects dialogue box. To add a value double click on the one you would like to populate it with, the value will appear on the right side, click Select to add it to your record.

To delete an item before clicking Select, on the right under Your Selection right click on the value you wish to remove. A Remove dialogue box will appear, left click that and the value will be removed.

Another way to remove an associated value is to click the circle with an X in it as shown below.
