LIMS - Medication Monitoring and Consistency results

The GoRev LIMS supports medication entry via lab orders and subsequent consistency checking based upon laboratory results. This guide walks through the process of entering prescriptions onto orders and maintaining your medmaster listing in your test compendium.


Administration of your Medications within the test compendium

Use this guide to review test compendium maintenance: Editing Lab Tests

Adding prescribed medications occurs at the individual test level. Click a test and then click into the Prescriptions tab as shown below.

Note: a default list of medications attached to tests is included during implementation or can be requested if you do not find it present via submission of a support ticket. Maintenance of prescriptions in the test compendium is a client's responsibility post go live.

The prescription name you specify is what will be selectable on laboratory orders.

Adding prescribed medication to lab orders

Prescribed medications is an instant search multi select box. Begin typing and the system will search for and filter down as you enter characters. Select one or more medications to attach to the order.

For this example, Dilaudid, Ondansetron (Zofran), and Clonopin were attached to this order.

Medication Monitoring as shown on results

Using the above order as an example and entering results detected results for clonazepam and not detected results for hydromorphone will trigger the result to show the below.

Because Dilaudid was prescribed and the result itself shows not detected an Inconsistent result is displayed on the Medication Monitoring section in red.
