How to Cancel a Mailbox on Hold

You may have discovered there is no way to void a mailbox transaction that is in play in CashMate POS Register.

The way you solve this, is by recalling the mailbox transaction from hold and cashing it out like a sale.

Once you have cashed it out, you will go into Register Transaction History and void that sale.

Once you're in the list of transactions, you will highlight it and click void on the bottom. You will get popup windows with some pretty good information on them.

After you click Yes, you will get a second popup:

Once you have voided the sale, you will go into the Mailbox Manager and Find Mailbox in question.

If the transaction was a new rental for that mailbox, you will want to Close that mailbox so it is once again available for rent.
In the Mailbox Manager you will find and highlight the box holder and click on [Choose activity and click OK] and you will choose Close mailbox. This will put that mailbox back in inventory.

If there was a renewal in progress that is not valid, that needs to be reversed. In Mailbox Manager, you will Find Mailbox, highlight the box and select View/Edit. It will bring you to the General tab and you will adjust the Next Due Date accordingly and click OK.

You have now completed canceling a mailbox that was on hold in CashMate POS Register.
