Backup Files and Update Accounts

This process will apply the charges calculated by the billing register to the accounts. Users should not be in the Accounts Receivable application while the save and update is running. This is usually short process.

Step 1: Select Accounts Receivable

Step 2: Select Billing

Step 3: Select Backup Files and Update Accounts

Submit Backup Files and Update Accounts: Make sure that you select “Yes” to proceed with the back.

Backup directory: Use the drop-down menu to select the option that has the number of the cycle being billing at the end of it thin click submit. The save process will take several minutes.

When the save is finished, there will be a message “The Backup Files and Update Accounts has been submitted” at the bottom of the screen.

Note: Review the report for accuracy. Pay attention to the “Updated Summary by Transaction Report”. When you are satisfied with the reports, you can create the journal entry for the billing.
