Email Import
TL;DR
This feature allows a list of emails to be uploaded into the platform as a search. This option is most commonly used from users who have access to an internal database and/or lead generation platform.

How Does It Work?
An email import search utilizes email addresses to pinpoint a specific list of contacts. This option is useful when an outside database(s) is being used in conjunction to capture leads and/or prospects.
One detail to keep in mind is that LinkedIn users often link their account to a personal email address. Alternatively, a prospect list typically capitalizes on corporate email addresses. Thus, some contacts will be unable to be identified during an email import due to this discrepancy.
The software allows up to 1500 emails per upload. However, it is recommended to start with a smaller batch (~500 emails) to ensure contacts are syncing properly.
The following steps outline how to successfully conduct an email import:
- From your dashboard, click on Search
- Click on Start New Search
- Insert a search name. Click on Email Import & paste email addresses, one per line
- Click on Add Search Task
FAQ
Why are the search results yielding less contacts than my original list?
Most contacts use a personal email address for LinkedIn, not a corporate domain. If you try to upload an email address that is different than the one LinkedIn has on file, the contact will not be able to be identified.
