Adjusting Attendance in PowerSchool Admin

To adjust teacher attendance, you need to be granted permission at the school where the student is taking classes. Once you have that, you can do the following:

  1. Log into the start page and click "Teacher Schedules" on the left of the screen.

  2. Find the teacher on the left, select them, and then find the course you want to adjust attendance for. Click the icon of a student in a chair with a plus sign next to it.

  3. In the screen that opens, adjust the individual student's attendance by changing the date range to include the date you want to change, then clicking into the student's attendance entry, then choosing a new attendance code and clicking submit. Please note that a blank entry means the student was present, so you do not need to fill in present for all the students.

  4. Once you are done adjusting the attendance, click submit.

Note: How attendance is taken differs by grade. At elementary schools, attendance is taken at the homeroom level, so you would need to adjust the AM/PM attendance there. At Junior High and High School, you'd have to adjust attendance at an individual block level by going into each course that the student had on the day they need to have it changed.
