How to Set-up Dual Logging with the OPC DA Collector
Dual Logging is used to push data from one logging session to multiple historians, allowing everyone in an organization to access the data. Read this article to learn how to create a logging session.
Dual Logging is simple and can be set up in a few steps.
Select the logging session tab that logs the tags the user needs to send to another historian.
Put the session into Edit Mode (Usually the Logger does this automatically unless another session is already in Edit Mode).
Next to the 'Historian Computer' field, type in the name of one of the servers that has the target historian installed on it.
Put a comma ',' and type in the name of another historian to send the tags to it as well.
For example: LocalHistorianServer, EnterpriseHistorianServer
A single logging session can send tags to as many historians as is required.
