Creating and adding Shared Questions
Shared Questions can be used to create Upfront Questions that can be shared across templates. These questions can be added as 'Parent Questions' or 'Child Questions' (when conditional logic is used.
Creating a Shared Question
Begin Creating a Shared Question by selecting the blue +New Shared Question icon on the right side of your screen:
Then choose the type of Shared Question:
Please Note: A Question Type Cannot Be Edited After the Question is Created
After selecting the Question Type, you will then be able to enter the Question you want to ask. Next, under Prompt, enter any additional information needed for this user to complete or consider when responding to this question.
If you would like, you can mark the question as Required, meaning the user must complete before they can submit their project for review. Additionally, a Default Value can be entered, which will need to be updated if the response is different from the answer marked.
Once you are ready to use your Shared Question, please select the toggle Set Shared Question Live and then +Create Shared Question:
Adding a Shared Question to a Template
You can add a Shared Question by first selecting the template you wish to edit. Then click, Collect Information to expand the section. Next, click the +Add Shared Question icon, and select the Shared Question you wish to add from the dropdown menu:

When selecting the Custom Variable Shared Section Question Type, the information collected here can be used in a Shared Section. The Upfront Questions must include this variable in order for the users entry to populate.
Note: If a Custom Variable Shared Section Question Type is used for the Upfront Questions on a Project Request, Solicitation Template and Contract Document, the information entered when the question is first asked, will be shared between projects when connected (ie When a Solicitation is Created from a Project Request or a Contract Record is Associated with a Project).
