Reset Microsoft Authenticator
This applies to
- Deleting the Microsoft Authenticator App
- New Phone authenticator registration
To reset the Microsoft Authenticator for a user, please follow the instructions below:
- Click on the "M365 User Lookup - Microsoft Authenticator Reset" option in the Germain Portal's Application page.
- Search for the Employee by name
- Choose Authentication methods under Manage.
- Click Revoke MFA sessions.
- Click "Require re-register multifactor authentication"
Next time the affected user signs in, they will be prompted to enter the 2FA info again. Have them follow the prompts on their screen with their mobile app ready to get set back up.
