How to Set-Up Dual Logging with OPC UA Collector
Dual Logging is a powerful feature that allows tags to be sent from one OPC Server to many historians. Typically, Dual Logging is for sending data to local/corporate historians as well as primary/redundant historians.
Open the Canary admin and select the 'OPC Collector' tile.
Select an existing session or create a New Log Session.
Find the Session Settings menu towards the bottom of the page.
In the Historian field, write to as many historians as you wish by typing in the names of the machines that have a historian installed on them. Separate machine names with commas.
In the example above, data is sent to two historians. Typing 'Localhost' tells the OPC UA Collector to search the local machine for the historian while 'etrexler' is the name of a different machine with a remotely accessible historian installed.
