Return Address requirements
Customer's Address as the return address
DOMESTIC SHIPMENTS
(UPS, FedEx, Maersk Parcel, Spee-Dee)
- The store address is always used as the return address.
- This is a carrier requirement because the store is considered the shipper — not the customer.
- You may change the return contact name to display the customer’s name instead of the store contact.
To Use Customer as Return Contact (Name Only):
- Go to Tools > PostalMate Settings
- Select Carrier Setup
- Choose the appropriate carrier tab
- Check Use Customer as return contact below label
- Click Save
- Repeat for other domestic carriers as needed
USPS (Endicia / Stamps)
Domestic & International USPS:

Enable USPS Setting:
- Go to Tools > PostalMate Settings > Carrier Setup > USPS tab
- Click the Endicia logo
- Select the Options tab
- Check Use customer as return address
- Click Save
Verify Customer Settings:
- Go to Tools > PostalMate Settings > Customer Settings
- Confirm it indicates you are using the customer as the return address.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
(DHL, FedEx, UPS, Meest)
- The customer’s name and address must be used as the return address.
- This is a carrier requirement.
- Ensures duties and taxes are not billed to the store.
