The Vera List Courtyard is an outdoor gathering space that links Lang (65 West 11th Street) and Alvin Johnson/J.M. Kaplan Hall (66 West 12th Street). Named in honor of the late philanthropist and designed by Michael Van Valkenburg Associates Inc, the Vera List Courtyard received a 1998 ASLA Design Merit Award.

With its sculptured walkways and subtle landscaping, the courtyard, which can accommodate up to 74 people, is appropriate for small outdoor receptions or ceremonies. There are 10 square tables and 24 chairs in the lobby, along with fixed benches and a ramp for ADA accessibility.
