Note: When doing name searches please ignore the ‘Name’ field in the second dropdown. The ‘Name’ field is a unique field in Perceptive and does not actually contain a person’s name.

      Types of Constraints:

      1. Normal: allows you to search on a static value.

      2. Variable: allows you to use a variable value, such as the current user or current date and time instead of a static value.

      3. Prompted: allows you to create a search that prompts the user for a value. The ‘Student Search’ public filter present in most document views is an example of a search with prompted constraints.

When adding multiple constraints, you can toggle between ‘AND’ or ‘OR’ by clicking on the word.

    2. Delete Constraint: only available when a constraint is chosen (see ‘Search Bar’ screenshot above).

    3. Group Constraint: only available when two (2) or more constraints are chosen.

  7. Filters Toolbar: a filter is a saved search criteria that is private and available only to the user that creates it.

    2. Save Filter: only available within a saved private filter.

    3. Delete Filter: only available within a saved private filter.

  8. Results Total: total number of results. All Views/Queues are configured with a maximum number of results. If the total says “More than [x] items'' that means the max has been reached.
