How Does It Work?
Troubleshooting: Upload errors
If you encounter challenges while uploading a Sales Navigator search, consider these typical missteps:
#1 - Confirm that the account you're uploading to is subscribed to LinkedIn Sales Navigator. If not, a Red Error notification will alert you that the account isn't registered.
#2 - Before pasting the URL, make sure the "Sales Navigator search" tab is selected.
#3 - For 2nd or 3rd degree searches, the Connector Tab should be chosen (it's the default). However, for 1st degree searches, switch to the Messenger tab first.
#4 - Ensure your URL is strictly a search link.
#5 - LinkedIn occasionally refreshes the URL as you adjust filters. To avoid issues, position your cursor at the "Search Keywords", then press Enter. This action will stabilize the URL, readying it for copying.
#6 - Avoid burdening the system with an excessively lengthy link. While it's a rare issue, adding numerous filters can generate a URL too expansive for the database. Use only essential filters and minimize superfluous exclusions or inclusions.
Troubleshooting: Upload discrepancies
Upon uploading a list, you might notice the number of contacts fetched is lesser than anticipated. Here are potential reasons for the discrepancy:
#1 - Consider the source of your original list. If it was created using your personal Sales Navigator rather than the account owner's, the numbers might differ, especially for 1st or 2nd degree connections. Each account can show varying numbers.
#2 - For 2nd & 3rd degree connections, any new prospects will be loaded by the software only once. If these prospects already exist in a Search or Campaign, they won't be duplicated in subsequent searches.
#3 - Reflect on the criteria of your initial search. Did you specify it as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd degree? A 1st degree connection can only be loaded into a Messenger Campaign, whereas 2nd and 3rd degrees are exclusive to a Connector. Even though all connections might be visible in the Sales Navigator list, they won't collectively be reflected in the software unless specified.
