Logging into Perceptive Content
Perceptive Content is accessible via a locally installed desktop client (PC only) or through the web client, Perceptive Experience (dms.newschool.edu). Access to either option requires users to be connected to The New School's network, either on campus (wired or wireless) or through VPN.
Desktop Client
Users who capture documents and screen scrape data must do so through the desktop client (Windows OS only). The desktop client can also be accessed through Cloud Desktop for those users with a need to capture documents but do not have access to a Windows desktop.
- Go to 'Start' menu
and click on Perceptive Content
- Enter your NetID and password
- Welcome to Perceptive Content!
NOTE: Your Perceptive toolbar will only display functionality available to you so it will look different than it does in the screenshot above.
Web Client - Perceptive Experience
All users with access to Perceptive can access documents and workflow through Perceptive Experience.
- Go to dms.newschool.edu.
- Enter your NetID and password
- Welcome to Perceptive Experience!
NOTE: The Documents and Workflow modules will always display in the landing page regardless of access. If you don't have access to any workflow queues the Workflow module will be empty.
Users have reported that sometimes nothing happens when they click on 'Documents' or 'Workflow'. To fix the issue - use your browser's Refresh button to reload the page.
