How to Submit a Setlist in the Member Portal

Before You Start

Log in to the SOCAN Member Portal
Ensure your works are registered (for original songs)


Step 1 — Access Set Lists

  1. Log in to the SOCAN Member Portal
  2. Go to Set Lists & Performances
  3. Select Register a New Set List

Step 2 — Name Your Setlist

  1. Under Title, enter a clear setlist name
    • If touring, include the tour name and performer
    • Example: 2025 Ontario Tour – Artist Name

This helps you easily reuse the same setlist across multiple performances.

Step 3 — Add Songs to Your Setlist

  1. Click Add Work to add your own songs
  2. Click Add Cover Song to add songs you did not write

You can search by:

  • Work title
  • Contributor name
  • IPI number
  • Work number

If you performed mostly your own works, searching by your name is the fastest option.

Click Select to add each song to your setlist.

Step 4 — Review, Save or Submit

  1. Continue adding songs as needed
  2. When finished, click Next

You can now:

  • Save Setlist (draft – edit later)
  • Confirm & Submit Setlist

A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen once submitted.


Step 5 — Manage Your Setlists

Under Set Lists & Performances, you can:

  • View registered setlists (once accepted)
  • View and edit draft setlists

To edit a draft:

  • Click the icon to open the setlist details in a new tab
  • Add or remove works as needed
