What is Jabber?

Jabber softphone by Cisco is a service that allows you to use your New School phone number to make and receive calls on your laptop, desktop computer, smartphone, and/or tablet. This service enables a more agile work environment as it allows you to use your New School phone number from any device without sharing your personal contact information.

System Access & Navigation

Jabber is a by request service only. Please fill out this Jabber request form to have your account set up by IT Central. You will be contacted when your account has been created.

You will need to have the Cisco Jabber application downloaded in order to use the service. A mobile application available from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Please contact IT Central to have Jabber downloaded on university provisioned computers.

NOTE: Emergency 911 calls should not be made through Jabber.

Log into Jabber with your NetID email address (NetID@newschool.edu) and password.
