Standard Report - Potential Duplicate Patient Records
This report can be utilized to find patients with more than one associated MRN. The results can then be used as a potential work queue to merge duplicates utilizing this functionality: Merging Duplicate Accounts
The report utilizes two duplication detection methods:
Name-DOB Match
This detection status indicates two different MRNs were found for a patient where the first name, lastname, and dob match.
Name-Address Match
This detection status indicates two different MRNs were found for a patient where the first name, street address, and zipcode match.
Note: Both methods could produce erroneous matches. It is very important any merging of patients is only done so after review and confirmation both MRNs are for the same patient.
