How to sign up for APEX coaching

🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏾 Roles and Responsibilities

In CoachMePlus, employees and employee dependents are referred to as "athletes" on the app and are responsible for actively engaging with it to maximize their training and development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Following Training Plans: Adhere to personalized workouts and training programs provided by coaches.
  • Tracking Performance: Log workout data, performance metrics, and any additional required information consistently.
  • Monitoring Wellness and Recovery: Complete wellness questionnaires and report factors like sleep, nutrition, and fatigue to help coaches assess recovery needs.
  • Communicating with Coaches: Maintain open communication by sharing feedback, asking questions, and addressing concerns directly through the app or through one of our company communications (Teams/Email)
  • Staying Accountable: Take ownership of personal progress by regularly reviewing performance insights and committing to continuous improvement.

✍🏻 Key Terms or Definitions

Athlete: Employee or employee dependent who has a workout program in the CoachMePlus application.

Coaches: Wellness Team who creates and manages workout plans through the CoachMePlus application.

Progressive Overload: The cornerstone of building strength and muscle. Progressive overload is the gradual increase of stress on your muscles over time by adding weight, reps, or intensity to your workouts. This challenges your body to adapt, leading to increased strength, muscle growth, and performance.

Macronutrients: Macronutrients are the nutrients your body needs in large amounts to function properly: protein helps build and repair muscles, carbs give you energy, and fats support cell function and hormone production. Tracking them helps ensure you’re eating the right balance for your goals.


👣 Procedure (Instructions)

Follow the steps in this procedure to sign up for the CoachMePlus app

Preliminary Step

Fill out workout questionnaire on the APEX website: Coaching Tab

Step 1: Download the CoachMePlus App

Installing CoachMePlus Through the Kandji App (Work Phone Only):
  1. Open the Kandji app on your work phone.
  2. Tap Search at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Enter CoachMePlus in the search bar.
  4. Tap Get to complete the process.Image.png
Installing CoachMePlus on the App Store (Apple Only):
  1. Open the App Store on your home screen
  2. Tap the search bar in the bottom right corner and type in CoachMePlus
  3. Select the app and tap the Get button Image (26).jpg
Installing CoachMePlus on Google Play (Android Only):
  1. Open the Google Play Store on your home screen
  2. Tap the search bar at the top and type in CoachMePlus
  3. Select the app and tap the Install button

Step 2: Create CoachMePlus Account Through Sign Up Email

After submitting your workout questionnaire, expect an email from a Wellness Team member within 1-2 business days. This email will alert you that an email through the CoachMePlus app will be sent over shortly to walk you through the sign-up process. Keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder, just in case) for that message to get started with the app.

Step 3: Activating Account

Once you receive the email, click 'Activate Account' to be taken directly to the sign-up page. Enter your first and last name, and set your password. If prompted for an access code, use k3152."

Step 4: Sign Into Your CoachMePlus Account

Once creating your account, you will be prompted to sign in again.

Once doing so you will be brought to your dashboard where it will show daily tasks, wellness surveys, training plans, and performance metrics at a glance.

Step 5: Turn on Your Notifications

Navigate to the settings menu, found in the top-right corner (under your profile). Select Settings from the menu options. Tap Authorize Notifications to turn on notifications. Confirm your settings to ensure notifications are active.

❓How to Fill Out Daily Wellness Questionnaire

The daily wellness questionnaire in CoachMePlus is a quick check-in to help athletes and coaches monitor overall well-being, recovery, and readiness to train. It gives coaches insights into how external factors — like sleep, stress, and soreness — might affect performance. Once submitted, the data is immediately visible to coaches. If they spot red flags (e.g., poor sleep, high soreness), they can adjust training plans on the fly. It also helps athletes become more aware of their body’s signals and take a more active role in their recovery.

💪How to Fill Out Your Training Day

A training day in CoachMePlus is all about executing the workout plan your coach has laid out, tracking your performance, and collecting data to help you (and your coach) make better training decisions. Go through each exercise in order and after each set, log the weight you used, the number of reps completed, and any notes (like if it felt too light or too heavy).

Logging workouts is crucial because it helps track progress, ensures proper progression, and prevents plateaus by applying progressive overload. It gives coaches data to personalize your training, prevents overtraining, and reduces injury risk. Tracking also boosts motivation by showing improvements over time, highlights areas needing attention, and sets clear, measurable goals. Plus, it keeps you accountable and helps optimize performance with data-driven adjustments.

🍽️How to Track Nutrition

CoachMePlus Nutrition Tracking lets you log meals, track calories, and monitor macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats) to ensure your diet aligns with your performance goals. It gives coaches insights into your fueling habits, helping them optimize training and recovery.

Tracking nutrition is crucial for ensuring you’re fueling your body properly to support performance, recovery, and overall health. It helps you stay accountable, track progress, and make personalized adjustments to reach your goals more effectively.

📂How to Upload Files to Your Library

You can easily upload videos, images, or documents directly into the app by selecting the upload option, choosing your file, and attaching it to a workout or message. This makes it simple to share training footage or other performance-related content with your coach. Athletes must message the Wellness Team after uploading anything to the Library, as we don’t receive notifications otherwise.
Uploading videos for form checks helps your coach spot technique flaws, prevent injuries, and ensure you’re performing exercises correctly. Proper feedback improves movement efficiency, boosts performance, and helps you get the most out of your training. This is ideal for any athletes that do not reside in Arizona.

This also ensures the Wellness Team can provide valuable feedback and tailor adjustments to your routine.
