Makeup Date Scheduling Procedure for Parsons Courses
NOTE: Makeup sessions should be scheduled as early as possible during the semester
The faculty determines the makeup day and time and communicates the revised schedule to the class. The makeup session can be on:
- An official makeup day as stated on the Academic Calendar; or
- Another day/time that is determined in collaboration with students.
If a classroom is needed for the makeup session, faculty emails the Program Administrator for the academic program offering the course at least two weeks before the makeup class session. The Program Administrator will identify an appropriate available classroom for the makeup session in 25Live. It is not necessary for faculty members to include Program Directors, Electives Coordinators, PTF Affairs, or Deans in their email.
The email to the Program Administrator should include:
- CRN
- Makeup class session date and time
- Type of classroom needed
If the makeup session takes place before the official last class session on the Session Dates calendar
- The Program Administrator will confirm the scheduling of the makeup session in 25Live to the faculty member. The makeup session will not appear in Banner/the Course Catalog.
If the makeup session takes place after the official last class session on the Session Dates calendar
- The Program Administrator shares the course information and available room with Parsons Course Planning.
- The Parsons Course Planning office will add the makeup session date in Banner, including the available classroom.
- A Course Planning Manager will confirm the scheduling of the makeup session to the faculty member.
