How to spot spam comments on Facebook

When we see these comments, we want to report them on FB as spam. This is for a couple of reasons:

1.) It helps protect the integrity of our business and our FB page. Seeing a lot of spam comments on customer interactions with our page makes it appear like we don't monitor what's going on with it.

2.) People* can fall prey to these spam accounts, which could be detrimental to their online privacy and safety, as well as possibly their finances.

The common themes you want to watch out for are random requests to be friends and flattery. Sometimes the comment will start with "Hello Dear", which is a pretty good indicator right off the bat that it's spam.
