Admin Hub Workstation Instructions

General Reminders

Please wear headphones for any tasks that require audio. Phone Booths are also available for confidential calls and conversations (79 Fifth Avenue Hub only).

Laptop Workstations

  • The wifi network for the hubs is “newschool” -- login using your NetID username and password.
  • Power on the monitor using the button on the underside of the screen. Connect the monitor to your laptop via the USB-C cable (should already be connected to monitor).
  • Monitors must be turned on in order to power your attached devices.
    • Note: ASUS monitors will only charge devices up to 65W.

PC Desktop Workstations

  • Log into the computer using your NetID username and password. If this is your first time logging into this particular workstation, it may take a little time to load.
  • Save any work to Google Drive or an external drive. Do not save locally to the computer.
  • You will be prompted to sign into Adobe Creative Cloud or Office 365 if you use those applications.
    • Note: Logout of the computer and applications after use.

MAC Desktop Workstations

  • Log into the computer using your NetID username and password. If this is your first time logging into this particular workstation, complete the below steps as well:
    • Select “Bypass” when prompted about FileVault
    • Select “Not Now” unless Accessibility Features are needed
    • Click “Continue” when notified about Data & Privacy
    • Select “Set Up Later” when prompted about your Apple ID, then “Skip” to continue
    • When prompted to setup Screen Time, select “Set Up Later”
    • Click “Continue” when prompted to enable Siri – uncheck the box if Siri is required
    • Choose a Look you prefer and select “Continue”
  • Save any work to Google Drive or an external drive. Do not save locally to the computer.
  • You will be prompted to sign into Adobe Creative Cloud or Office 365 if you use those applications.
    • Note: Logout of the computer and applications after use.
