Canvas: Adding Courses to Canvas
Courses are added automatically
Any course that exists in Banner is brought over to Canvas during an automated import process that runs multiple times a day. Once you are assigned to/enrolled in the course in Banner, you will see the course in your Canvas dashboard. If you are not seeing a course in your dashboard that you believe you should have access to, please contact your department's Course Planner.
Exceptions
Some courses are not built in Banner, but are instead directly built in Canvas. These courses are not credit bearing and are generally used for non-academic purposes, such as managing Orientation or campus resources. To be added to one of these courses, please contact your department's Course Planner. If you are not a TNS faculty member, please contact SAS@newschool.edu instead.
