Employee & Labor Relations

For nearly 50 years, The New School has worked closely and collaboratively with the unions that represent some of its employees. Today there are unions representing nine groups of faculty and staff on our campus, and we strive to have productive and collaborative relationships with each of them. We are guided by principles of fairness and transparency, responsiveness, doing what is right for our community, maintaining a long-term view, and respect for the collective bargaining process. Read more on our website about labor relations and unions at The New School.
