Ender 3: E-Step Adjustment

For the steps below it's recommended to feed filament through the Extruder but not through the Hotend.

  1. On your LCD Panel go to Configuration > Advanced Settings > Steps/mm > Esteps/mm:
  2. Calculate: 100mm x Esteps/mm = Current Output.
  3. Calculate Current Output / Extrusion Testing result = New E-Steps Number.
  4. Enter the New E-Step Number into Configuration > Advanced Settings > Steps/mm > Esteps/mm:.
  5. Go to Configuration > Store Settings.
  6. Verify the Extrusion Test and Adjust the E-Steps again if needed.
  7. Do a Flow Adjustment.

With Fly-E3-Pro-V3 Mainboard

Remove the filament from the hotend and check E-Stop Adjustment again.

Send - M92 E100 to reset steps
send - M92 E99 to feed a little less
Find the correct value to feed 100mm
To make the change permanent, edit config.g (Go to Settings > System Editor > Right click on Config.g > Edit) and change the M92 E parameter to 96.5, eg M92 E96.5
