Browser Extension
We hear it time and time again - task switching slows us down and makes us less productive. In this day and age we shouldn't need to leave what we are working on to confirm a policy or ask a question. Enter the Guru browser extension!
With this plug-in for Chrome, our university knowledge base is available wherever you are working on the web, including your email, calendar, Google documents, MyDay (Workday), Slack, and more. Simply pop open the Guru window to search for information and review your library of favorites and follows without leaving your browser window.
Install the Extension
The browser extension is only available for Google Chrome and is not available for Firefox, Explorer, or other web browsers. Follow the instructions below to install the Chrome browser extension.
- Open Guru in the Chrome Web Store
- Click Add to Chrome and then Add Extension
- Voila! The extension has been added to your browser. We recommend also pinning the extension for fastest access. Screen shot below.
- Click the plug-in next to the search field.
- Click the pin next to Guru.
- The Guru "G" should now be added next the search field.
